My mum came to visit Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, and I have set myself a mission to take her to a new afternoon tea every time she visits.
This time I decided it was the turn of the Great British Cupcakery. I have been admiring their incredible creations on instagram forever, I mean…. just look at this for a milkshake!
I’m sure I say this every other post but here I go again…. I have a new favourite brunch spot in Newcastle!
The Brandling Public House in Jesmond recently reopened and now boasts an impressive all day food menu and a delicious range of cocktails.
It is beautifully decorated and has the cosiest feel to it – perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks (something which I have frequently done all of over the course of a weekend!)
What I particularly love, and what keeps me coming back, is the care and attention they pay to every ingredient included in their extensive cocktail and food menu. It really reflects in the taste of their dishes.
Their staff are also lovely and are always willing to talk through their menus, cocktails and the thoughts behind the flavours – something I really love hearing about!
A short and sweet one from me tonight all about 97 & Social!
I’ve just had a huge sort out of my memory card and have found a whole host of photos I have whilst taken out and about but haven’t had the time to sit down and write about!
Better late than never hey?
97 & Social is on Newcastle’s famous Osbourne Road, it’s a relatively new kid on the block and what impressed me most is what good value it is! Cocktails start at £5.95 and they also have a brilliant range of Gins, Wines and other Spirits.
We started off with a Mojito and an Afternoon Delight – a stunning combination of Gin, Rhubarb, Strawberry and Rose.
Ever found somewhere you kinda want to keep to yourself but also want to shout about from the rooftops because its that good?
I have found that place…
Then take a seat, pour yourself a cuppa and read about the new kid on the block in West Jesmond.
I have just arrived home from the most beautiful week in France, full of delicious food, wine and lots of indulgences. Before I went away I had a pretty good eating and exercise routine going. However, since returning I have found I just can’t get back into a routine.
My days have turned into one long snacking session and not much else…. whoops!
The wonderful people at Predator Nutrition and Joe Blogs sent me some Quest Bars to try out and get me back into my healthy eating routine.
